I’m continuing my work with Locus Sonus, the live streaming audio project that draws sound from around the globe. The images here document a new installation of the audio streams in Paris. I joined Locus Sonus with a stream from Wollongong, Australia in 2007. I began a new feed in Baltimore in 2009.
In this realization the work is guided through an iPad, as interactors select live streams from Europe, North America, South America and Asia each played back via an overhead parabolic speakers.
The project partners with the Art Schools of Aix en Provence (ESAA) and Nice (ENSA Villa Arson) in the south of France and other international collaborators.
